FACE painting, carols and an elves workshop. It all adds up to a festive scene at a wildlife reserve.
Saltholme near Hartlepool is getting into the Christmas spirit with a Scandinavian Christmas weekend this Saturday and Sunday.
There’s a family of reindeer to meet as well as seasonal tales from Scandinavian storyteller Chris Connaughton.
Visitors will get a chance to make gifts and treats in the elves workshops. People can also grab a free glass of non-alcoholic mulled wine and discover some real Scandinavian wildlife in the hides.
There will also be carols, presents, trails, and face painting. The cost of taking part is £4 per child or £2 for members.
