Schoolgirl airlifted to hospital

A SCHOOLGIRL was airlifted to hospital after falling from a climbing frame.

The seven-year-old girl suffered “potentially serious neck injuries” after the incident in Ward Jackson Park, Hartlepool, today.

The Great North Air Ambulance (GNAA) attended the scene and airlifted the girl to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough.

A GNAA spokesman said: “We attended an incident in which a seven-year-old girl had suffered potentially serious neck injuries after falling from a climbing frame.

“She was airlifted to hospital for specialist treatment.”
