A BUSY few days in the ticket office has seen sales of Hartlepool United season tickets hit the 2,000 mark.
The League One club have once again slashed prices for the 2012-13 season and fans have been queuing up to make sure they will be at Victoria Park come August.
Adult season tickets for the coming year are on sale at £155, which works out at less than £7 a game.
Jean Liddell, who was buying a ticket for her partner Alan Landreth, 67, and herself, was the supporter who helped the club reach the landmark 2,000 figure.
The pair, who live in Brierton Lane, have been watching Pools for well over 20 years and have taken up the same seats in the Cyril Knowles Stand for many seasons.
Jean, who said she would have brought one regardless of the price, added: “We make sure we had our season tickets every year.
“No matter how much they cost, we’d be buying one, but obviously the low prices last year and again this year have been a big bonus.
“We rarely miss a match and are there come rain, hail or shine and we’re both looking forward to the new season already.”
Everyone over 16 who gets a season ticket will be entered into a prize draw for a jackpot which could raise as high as £15,000 depending on sales.
Jean added: “I’m often quite lucky in these kinds of things.
“I’m always winning the bingo so I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed.”
Senior prices are £125, under 19s can bag a seat for £75 and a season ticket for under 13s is only £50.
The current offer runs until the end of July.
