AN annual event of remembrance will return in Hartlepool and East Durham.
Hartlepool & District Hospice will launch the Light up a Life campaign at the end of October. It invites hospice supporters to make a donation in memory of lost loved ones. Everyone who donates receives a commemorative pin badge and an in memoriam card displaying the names of those they are remembering.
The campaign ends with two services of remembrance – one at the Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience on Sunday, December 15, from 4.30pm and the second at St Cuthbert’s Church, in Peterlee, on Friday, December 20, at 6.30pm. Both services will observe a one minute silence and there will be a ceremonial lighting of the Light up a Life Christmas tree.
To make a donation, go to www.hartlepoolhospice.co.uk to give details of the people they wish to remember.
People who don’t have the internet should contact (01429) 855529 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
