FUNDRAISING dad Ian Richardson is looking forward to welcoming stars of the screen to the Tees Valley.
Celebrities from shows such as EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale are expected to be involved in a charity football match in Billingham on Sunday, July 28.
It will be part of a day entertainment from noon to 5pm at the home of Billingham Synthonia Football Club in Belasis Avenue, Billingham.
Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children. Proceeds will go to the Jo and Mya Memorial Fund run by Ian and set up in memory of his wife Joanne, 40, and eldest daughter Mya, aged six, who died in a car accident in August 2010.
Ian and his daughter Ava, now aged three, survived the crash. The charity supports children who have lost loved ones.
Ian said the celebrities to appear will depend on their filming schedules.
He added: “The players all represent a charity called Once Upon A Smile and they play games up and down the country.”
There will also be a chance to meet the stars, and an opportunity to become ball boys and ball girls.
