THE campaign to get Hartlepool fit got the backing of a town physio.
Leading physiotherapist Paul Gough is right behind the Hartlepool Mail’s Race for Fitness campaign.
He is showing his support by holding pilates sessions and the first was held at the Hartlepool Peoples Centre, in Raby Road.
The session, led by expert pilates instructor and physio Sammy Dakers, was designed especially to focus on strengthening the neck, back and shoulder area.
Paul, who runs practices across the region and has a town base in Raby Road, is offering 10 free places for the first four sessions on a first-come first-served basis.
He added: “Everyone seemed to really enjoy the session, I’m sure they will be coming back.
“The health benefits of pilates really are fantastic, it’s brilliant for your neck, back and shoulders.”
