AMBITIOUS athletes are being encouraged to take part in this year’s Great North Run for a cancer charity.
Breast Cancer Campaign is urging men and women of all ages across Hartlepool and east Durham to think about signing up for the half marathon in September.
The charity has 200 places available for the 13.1 mile and says now is the perfect time to start training with the light summer nights.
Events executive, Karen Lambert, said: “New figures show that the number of people diagnosed each year has increased from 46,000 to 48,000, so the need to continue supporting research is more important than ever.”
If you want to run contact the charity on (0207) 7494114 or email email@example.com
The deadline for Breast Cancer Campaign charity places is July 8.
