GLOBETROTTING Pools fans struck lucky in a prize draw thanks to their support for the team.
Supporters Geoff Lindsay and Michael Piggford won signed Hartlepool United shirts in the competition run by Thomas Cook travel agents, in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre.
Pools midfielder Gary Liddle presented them with their prizes when he dropped in to the store.
Pools fans who booked a holiday with the branch or got a pre-paid ‘cash passport’ card were entered into a draw for the shirts.
And when fans book with the branch a percentage of money automatically goes back into the club.
Debbie Paterson, Thomas Cook Hartlepool manager, said: “We have worked in partnership with Hartlepool United for quite some time.
“Any season ticket holder or fan is entitled to a discount when booking a holiday. Not only is it an incentive for people to book, they also had the chance of winning a signed shirt.
“The partnership has been very successful and means money goes back to Pools which is important to smaller clubs like Hartlepool.”
