A CLOSE knit group of friends showed pride for their home town when they travelled thousands of miles to Singapore.
Richie Hamilton celebrated his birthday when he and 10 pals jetted off on the break.
The gang took one of the Mail’s Proud to be a Poolie posters with them to spread the word about the town.
Electrician Richie, from the Elwick Road area of town, celebrated turning 54 during the holiday.
Our thanks go to Richie’s friend Peter Swift, of Flaxton Court, Hartlepool, for sending in this picture of the gang.
Peter said: “We normally go away for somebody’s birthday every year.
“We have been to lots of different places.
“It is the same bunch of lads who always go. We had a fantastic time. It was brilliant.”
Why not take your chance to show your passion about your town?
All we want you to do is pick up a copy of our poster from the Hartlepool Mail reception or download it from our website – www.hartlepooltoday.co.uk.
It contains the slogan Proud To Be A Poolie.
With the summer holiday season well under way, now is the perfect time to take a copy with you on holiday or if you go away for a short break.
Just have your photograph taken with the poster and send it to us so that we can publish it – and show that you have helped to spread the Hartlepool word.
Send your photos – as well as details including age, address, telephone number and email – to the Mail newsdesk, Hartlepool Mail, New Clarence House, Wesley Square, Hartlepool, TS24 8BX.
Pictures can also be emailed to the Mail newsdesk at firstname.lastname@example.org
