A singer is in the mood for more sunshine moments in Spain as she prepares for a second European tour in a year.
Courtney Wallis, 20, from Wynyard, is one of three members of the girl band with-a-difference Irresistible.
Later this year they will jet off for a tour with the Glenn Miller Orchestra where they will get the chance to promote their distinctive act – a 1940s style group.
As well as Courtney, the band also includes Jayne Welch, 27, of Hebburn Village, and Natalie Wood, 25, from Leeds.
The November tour will see them play at the Tenerife and Barcelona opera houses. Courtney said the group will be playing with the orchestra for a second time. The last time was at venues on an eight-stop European tour which took in places such as Gran Canaria, Majorca, Tenerife and Portugal.
It also took in Barcelona in Spain where they played at the Opera House last year.
Courtney said: “It was unbelievable. It is a beautiful venue. It is one of those places where you walk out on stage and you are gobsmacked.”
Courtney is no stranger to hard work either. In November, she and her fellow band members will perform are playing at a 1940s Maritime event at the Richmond Hilton hotel in London.
And they have received two invitations to switch on Christmas lights in Bury-St-Edmunds and Carlisle in December.
And as well as touring as a talented singer, Courtney also works in promotions and marketing as well as in other roles.
She describes herself as a “workaholic” who is striving to make the best of the opportunities open to her.
She loves what she does and said: “We are just trying to make the most of the opportunities we have got.
“We all love music and the 40s authentic style.”
