KIND-HEARTED choir singers helped to raise more than £400 for a hospice.
Grange Road Methodist Church, in Hartlepool, organised their very own night of musical entertainment in support of Hartlepool and District Hospice.
The event, which was organised by the church’s Ladies Fellowship, proved a huge success and the 50-member strong Hartlepool Community Choir helped to raise a fantastic £430 for the cause.
Tracy Woodall, chief executive of the Hartlepool and District Hospice, said: “The choir evening at the Grange Road Methodist Church was a great success with audience and choir alike enjoying the performance.
“I would like to extend my thanks to the Ladies Fellowship for choosing our organisation as the beneficiary of the funds raised.”
Just two months after the last fundraising event, the kind members of the church are now urging people to support their next musical fundraiser.
The Sydenham Singers will perform a wide range of ballads, folk songs and popular classics at the church on Saturday, June 11, from 7.30pm.
Around 50 members of the choir, which was formed back in 1985 will be taking part and helping to support the cause.
Mrs Woodall added: “Music has a way of reaching across generations so I hope that this will be an evening that the whole family can enjoy together.
“The help and support extended by Grange Road Methodist Church and the Sydenham Singers will provide a welcome boost to funds for our hospice.”
Tickets for next month’s fundraiser are priced at £5.
