CHRISTMAS came early over the weekend with a string of fun festive events taking place throughout Hartlepool.
The Headland’s Town Square was transformed into a winter wonderland for the very first Headland Christmas Spectacular.
Hundreds of people joined in with the fun at the event, organised by the Headland Carnival committee. Adults got the chance to cast their eyes over the various stalls on offer while kids met Santa and excitedly joined in with the games and activities.
Talented performing groups from the town also took the opportunity to dazzle the crowds.
The penultimate weekend before Christmas kicked off in festive fashion with the Friends of Ward Jackson Park’s Christmas Concert and Craft Fair.
An array of craft stalls were set up while the impressive performers from Red Dreams also took to the stage.
Santa also made an appearance at the picturesque park to the delight of youngsters.
People had the opportunity to pick up a treat at another festive fair, held at Hartlepool College of Further Education on Saturday.
