AN historic country house will provide a stunning backdrop for a spring concert.
The Walled Garden at Wynyard Hall, on the outskirts of Hartlepool, will provide the setting for the concert, which will bring together some of the finest musicians in the North-East.
A grand marquee will play host to a number of artists playing a selection of jazz, soul and the classics on Thursday, May 19.
Guests will enjoy a finger buffet with a glass of wine before settling down to enjoy the performance.
Hartlepool-based Velecia, who have recently been signed to a top music producer, Jersey-based Ray Hedges, who has worked with the likes of Take That, Cher and Bryan Adams, are on the bill.
Piano duo David and Mark, who have played at top Newcastle venues, including The SAGE, in Gateshead, will play a variety of music, including jazz, blues, Latin and contemporary.
The Armstrong String Quartet, who have played with Maximo Park, and up-and-coming star Karen Harding will also be performing.
The finale of the concert will feature Jambone, the SAGE youth orchestra, consisting of more than 20 members aged between 16 and 19.
On May 21 and May 22, the Walled Garden will also host a large homes and garden shopping fair, featuring more than 100 exhibitors.
Wynyard Hall’s managing director Allison Antonopoulos said: “All the staff are looking forward to this event with great excitement.
“Wynyard Hall is set within 150 acres of historical parkland and it is wonderful to be able to host events of this nature in the grounds.
“Future developments of the Hall include further accommodation, a stunning lakeside spa and treatment rooms as well as the development of the Walled Garden.”
Tickets for the concert cost £25.
