Spooky race night

A RACE night with a spooky theme is being held at a popular Hartlepool pub.

The Schooner pub, in Warrior Drive, Seaton Carew, Hartlepool, is holding the Macmillan Cancer Race night.

The event is free to enter but all money spent on the races will be donated to the charity.

It is being held on Friday, October 31, which coincides with Halloween celebrations so people are being urged to dress up as their favourite spooky characters.

Landlord Patrick Golden said sweets will be given out to adults and kids who turn up in fancy dress.

The race night starts at 7.30pm until late, and families and children are welcome until 10pm.

There will also be a kareoke, as well as food before and after the Hartlepool Borough Council firework display, which kicks off on The Front at 6pm.
