BUDDING stage stars wowed the audience as they performed their end-of- year production.
The Year 3 and 4 pupils in the drama club at Clavering Primary School, in Hartlepool, have been working hard since January in preparation for their latest show called Toys in Pieces.
The children, aged just seven, eight and nine, have been meeting every Wednesday night for rehearsals.
And their hard work showed as they performed fantastically in front of their fellow pupils and staff in school.
Parents then filled out the hall earlier this week as they got the opportunity to watch their talented children on stage.
The drama teachers at the school said the pupils should be proud of themselves.
Katie Reilly, a Year 3 teacher at the school, in Hartlepool’s Clavering Road, said: “The shows were brilliant.
“The club performed it to other children at the school and then the parents, everyone loved it.
“The pupils have been working hard in rehearsals for months so we were all extremely pleased the performances went so well.
“Some of the parents helped to make the outfits for the show and they looked absolutely great, a lot of effort had gone into them.”
The Year 3 and 4 drama club was set up to give youngsters an opportunity to perform.
Around 25 children took part in the show.
Miss Reilly added: “We have some really talented pupils and that showed in our production.
“It’s great for the children to get the opportunity to perform at such a young age, it’s all good experience for them.
“The Year 3 pupils will get the chance to perform as part of the club next year and the year four pupils can take part in another production when they are in Year 6.”
