MUSICIANS in Hartlepool can take advantage of a ground-breaking centre which is opening its doors to the wider community.
The Sound Pod schools music centre in Stockton is packed with high-tech musical equipment and is described as the ultimate rock and pop experience.
Run by the Tees Valley Music Service, it has helped young people across the area learn to make music for nearly two years.
Now, anyone can enjoy its facilities from aspiring musicians to parties and even corporate events.
The room is full of electric guitars, bass guitars, keyboards, electronic drum-kits, and hand-sonics set in pods.
Up to 12 bands can play in the room at once.
Ian Short, of Tees Valley Music Service, said: “It’s a fantastic facility which really does have musical opportunities suitable for anyone aged 6 to 106.
“People simply need to call us to book a session which includes tuition, including pop vocals.”
Facilities are booked by the hour and they are available for children’s and adult parties, school and youth groups team-building for businesses and families.
An open day at the venue at Our Lady & St Bede’s school site, Bishopton Road West, Stockton, will be held on Saturday 2 April, from 10am-4pm.
