THE next stop was Hardwick Hall for excited youngsters who were dressed to impress last night.

Students from Dyke House Sports and Technology College, in Hartlepool, turned on the style for their end-of-term prom night, which was held at the Sedgefield venue.

Some of the students marked the occasion by hiring a former London double decker bus to make sure they arrived on time.

The girls from the school donned a range of eye-catching dresses to create a sea of colour at the prom, while the boys scrubbed up well too, with their best suits and dicky bows getting an airing.

Excited pupils gathered and posed for photos before enjoying the rest of their night at the fantastic venue.

The events marked the end of school days for the pupils and a hosty of similar events from other schools across Hartlepool and east Durham are taking place over the next few days before the term comes to an end later this month.

Watch out for more pictures from this week’s proms in tomorrow’s and Monday’s paper. Our proms supplement later this month will also contain hundreds of pictures.
