PERFORMING arts students will be taking to the stage for their annual pantomime.
East Durham College’s performing arts students are busy putting the final touches to Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood.
This year the pantomime at the college in Peterlee, has been organised by foundation degree students and will see them perform a gruelling seven shows over three days.
Cast member Craig Nunn, 19, from Sunderland, said: “We are all really excited ahead of the pantomime performances.
“We worked really hard to get the idea and the show together before Christmas and now we are just working on the final tweaks and our final rehearsals ahead of the opening night.
“We know that it is going to be really demanding, putting on seven two hour shows in such a short space of time, but we are all ready and up for the challenge.”
Performing Arts Programme Leader, Amanda Gregory, added: “We are expecting another great pantomime this year.”
The show will take place at the College’s Lubetkin Theatre, at its Peterlee Campus, between Wednesday, January 21 and Friday, January 23. Tickets cost £7 and are available on 518 2000.
