A LINGERIE designer who shot to fame after winning a Hartlepool Mail-backed competition has clinched more success thanks to her stylish dress sense.
Michelle Taylor, who runs the lingerie company Tallulah Love, was voted the best dressed guest at this year’s UK Lingerie Awards, winning a case of champagne after the competition was decided by a public vote.
Pictures of guests were put on a website and oeople were given the chance to vote.
She was joined at the finals by work colleagues and her partner Ian Ward.
Michelle said: “We are thrilled that the public have voted us as the Best Dressed at the Lingerie Awards and really cannot believe that we won.
“We would like to thank everyone for voting for us. It is a really wonderful compliment and honour to have such gorgeous feedback, especially as the standard was so high.”
Michelle, 36, was at the finals held on September 19 in Mayfair, in London, along with some of her staff. Michelle wore a vintage full length velvet dress and her staff were there in tuxedos and suits.
The public had the chance to vote on the best dressed guest until September 28.
But even before the competition, Michelle was already enjoying huge success thanks to her designs which have won celebrity support.

Michelle first rose to fame when she won the Hartlepool Mail-backed If we can, you can challenge in June 2008.
Judges were impressed with her plans to set up a designer underwear range.
Michelle then launched Tallulah Love Luxury Lingerie in 2009 and has since clinched contracts in Germany, Italy, Holland, the United Arab Emirates and Japan.
Now, her lingerie range is so popular she is having to outsource work to distributors in France, Russia, South Africa, Australia, Japan and the USA to cope with demand.
Michelle, who lives in Hartlepool, now employs three part-time staff from her business base in Gateshead.
