A SUMMER fete organised by members of a Boys’ Brigade Club has helped raise £500.
The 4th Hartlepool Boys’ Brigade Company held the event at St Matthew’s Community Centre, in Elwick Road, Hartlepool, over the weekend.
Organisers say they were delighted to see around 150 people from the local community come along and support the event which was raising money towards summer activities.
This summer, youngsters will be able to enjoy a BBQ at the Blue Lagoon plus trips to Crimdon Dene and Castle Eden Dene.
The 4th Hartlepool Boys’ Brigade Company has around 60 members, aged between six to 18, and we meet at the St Matthew’s Community Centre, in Elwick Road.
Children aged six to eight and 11 plus meet on Friday nights and youngsters aged between eight and 11 meet on a Monday evening.
There was a host of fun activities and food for people to enjoy at the summer fete including home-made cakes, bric-a-brac stalls, a tombola, a raffle and other stalls for people to go enjoy.
