A HOST of family fun is on the cards when a new summer playscheme launches at a popular community centre.

Belle Vue Community Sports and Youth Centre, in Kendal Road, Hartlepool, is set to launch a new playscheme for children aged two upwards.

Youngsters can enjoy cookery sessions, arts and crafts, songs and rhymes, jewellery making classes and play days at the Fun for All the Family sessions.

There will also be a teddy bears picnic, a DVD day, nail art and football skill sessions.

Children under five must be accompanied by an adult who are welcome to join in the fun at the sessions, which will run for a month from Monday, July 30.

They will be on between 10am and noon from Monday to Friday for four weeks.

Gordon Larkin, centre manager, said: “This is a great playscheme for parents and carers looking for something to keep their children occupied.

“It launches next week and we hope that it will help bring the community into the centre.

“A whole host of activities has been arranged including arts and crafts, football skill sessions, cookery and jewellery making.

“Children under five must be accompanied by an adult.

“We hope these sessions will be really popular with people and we are looking forward to them launching.”

A lot of the sessions have an age range.

The majority of the sessions cost £2 but some cost £3 and people are advised to check when booking.

People can either pop into the centre to make a booking or call (01429) 221832.
