PEOPLE across Hartlepool enjoyed a sun-drenched St George’s Day.
The grey clouds parted for the celebration day of St George yesterday.
Dozens of people enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine for the feast day of the patron saint of England.
And the special day was also celebrated by children from Lynnfield Primary School, who showed their patriotism by wearing red and white clothes, daubing their faces in English flags and dressing up as George and the dragon from the famous myth.
Saint George’s Day is celebrated on April 23, the traditionally accepted date of St George’s death in 303 AD.
It is celebrated by various Christian Churches and by the nations, kingdoms, countries, and cities of which St George is the patron saint.
