HARTLEPOOL Sea Cadets will join a UK-wide rowing challenge to raise money for a new ship.
One hundred and seventy five Sea Cadet units across Britain will be attempting to row nearly 25,000 miles in 80 hours from this Thursday, April 18 to Sunday, April 21.
The quirky and challenging fundraiser has been organised to replace the charity’s iconic flagship, TS Royalist, which is now over 40 years old. Hartlepool Sea Cadet members will be rowing at Hartlepool Marina from 6pm on Thursday and Friday and on rowing machines at Wingfield Castle on Saturday and Sunday.
