PEOPLE are being reminded they still have chance to back a night of music and fun to raise vital cash for a children’s hospice.

The Co-operative Foodstore, in Stockton Road, Hartlepool, is putting on the fundraiser in aid of the Butterwick House Children’s Hospice, in Stockton, a charity being supported by 34 of the chain’s local stores.

Matthew Caldwell, 23, customer service advisor at the town branch, decided that his store should do something a little extra and he is urging people to back the campaign.

The charity night, taking place at the Ye Olde Durham’s Social Club, in St Aidan’s Street, tomorrow and runs from 7pm-11pm and admission is £3. There will be live singers, karaoke, a buffet, and a raffle. Matthew originally decided to organise the event, but has been well supported by colleagues.

People can get tickets for the event by calling the social club on (01429) 292004, Tracy at Butterwick Hospice on (01642) 628930 or by visiting the store.
