MOTIVATED jobseeker Syeda Shajna Begum has recently completed two training courses – but is still on the hunt for work.
The 21-year-old has been out of work for around a year and says it is difficult to even find voluntary work.
But the former High Tunstall College of Science student remains committed to the cause and to better her chances Syeda completed a customer service training course.
She also passed a Level 2 Childcare qualification at Hartlepool College of Further Education and has enjoyed a work placement at a nursery in the town.
Now, with her qualifications and skills attained during sessions at Triage, Syeda is hoping to make the step into paid work.
“I do try to stay positive,” said Syeda, who lives in Sandringham Road, in the town, with her older sister, Shafna, 24.
“I’m just trying to do as much as I can so I can impress when I go to interviews.
“But it is tough, I’m even finding it difficult to find voluntary work.”
Lucy Fox, of Triage, said Syeda is “friendly, caring and professional”.
She added: “She has excellent communication skills, IT skills and is confident and effective dealing with people at all levels and able to use her own initiative to meet the highest standards of work at all times.”
