Tasty event was a winner

A SPONSORED dining event has brought in more than £200 for a worthy cause with more on the way.

But the organiser of the Dine in the Dark event held at Hartlepool Marina said her main goal had already been achieved because she had raised awareness of a worthy cause.

Katrina Thompson said she wanted to help publicise the Seaton Carew and Hartlepool Branch of Guide Dogs (UK).

Dine in the Dark was held at Krimo’s, on Hartlepool Marina. Diners were led to their table before being blindfolded and left to negotiate their way through the meal without being able to see anything in front of them.

Katrina said: “We have raised a mass of awareness, which has been my personal goal from joining Guide Dogs.”

“The total for sponsorship raised from the night is looking at over £200.”

Those wanting more information about the charity should visit the charity’s Facebook page by searching Guide Dogs Seaton Carew Hartlepool.
