PRIMARY school footballers are looking the part thanks to a kind donation from a town firm.
The youngsters at Rift House Primary School, in Hartlepool’s Masefield Road, are “over the moon” with their smart new kits, sponsored by Gus Robinson Developments.
Parent Graham Tregear, 48, whose son, Callum, 11, plays in goal for the school team, took it upon himself to contact businesses in the town to try and drum up support to fund some new kits.
And he was delighted to hear back from Gus Robinson Developments’ financial director Jeanette Henderson immediately, telling him the firm were happy to help out.
“I can’t thank them enough,” said Graham, who lives in the Rift House area of Hartlepool and works as a football coach at Owton Manor Primary School.
“Jeanette and Dan Robinson were absolutely outstanding from start to finish.”
Nigel Newbury, social inclusion assistant at Rift House Primary School, thanked staff at Gus Robinson Developments for their support.
Dan Robinson, chairman of Gus Robinson Developments, said: ”It’s personally really important to me to support the young people from within this town so I was very happy to be able to spend some time talking to them. It was obvious to me from the outset just how proud they are to represent Rift House.
“I was immediately impressed with the passion and dedication of not just the kids, but also the teachers and coaching staff at Rift House Primary who work tirelessly to support the children.”
