FIREFIGHTERS went to rescue a teenager who got stuck on the roof of his house.
A fire crew was sent to a two-storey house in Havelock Street, Hartlepool, after the boy got stranded on the roof.
A crew from Stockton Fire Station, which was on standby in Hartlepool while firefighters from the town’s Stranton station were training, attended the incident.
Crew manager Katie Love said: “We got a young lad off a roof.
“He had climbed up to try to get into his bedroom window after he left his keys inside but couldn’t get in the window and ended up on the roof.
“He had been up a matter of minutes but someone phoned the brigade.”
Firefighters got a ladder to help the boy down after the incident, which happened around 12.40pm on Thursday.
