Teenager suffers broken leg

A TEENAGER broke her leg after the scooter she was driving was involved in a collision with a car.

The collision involving a Ford Focus car and scooter happened in Grange Road, Hartlepool.

The 16-year-old girl was rushed to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, by ambulance where she is being treated for a broken left leg.

Police have now issued an appeal for witnesses to the collision, which happened in Grange Road at the junction with Mulgrave Road.

The incident happened at about 9.35pm on Wednesday.
