EASTER is fast approaching and a visitor centre is lining up plenty to do for youngsters.

The Summerhill activity centre, off Catcote Road in Hartlepool, is the place to be for anyone who enjoys archery, climbing or even a walk with a creative touch.

First on the agenda is a chance for children aged eight and over to learn climbing, on Wednesday, April 11.

The fun lasts from 1pm to 3pm and costs £4.40 for members, £5.50 for casual visitors and £3.30 with concessions.

Climbing techniques will be explained by the skilled instructors and no experience is necessary, however, places must be booked in advance.

A day later, on Thursday, April 12, children aged five to 10 are invited to join in with an Easter walk.

The ramble with a difference gives youngsters a chance to make a butterfly feeder for their garden.

This event starts at 1pm and lasts until 3pm.

The cost is £3.65 for members, £4.70 for casual visitors and £2.60 with concessions and advance booking is essential.

More climbing is on the way, along with some fun games, on April 12 for anyone aged between six and nine years old, from 10.30am to 11.45am.

And on Friday, April 13, youngsters aged 11 to 16 can try their hand at archery.
