A TRANSCRIPT of the 999 call made by Graham Gibson.

Call handler: Police emergency.

Gibson: Hi. Could I have the police please?

Call handler: Where to?

Gibson: 17 Cherwell Terrace, Brambles Farm.

Call handler: What’s happening?

Gibson: I have stabbed my girlfriend to death.

(pause)

Gibson: Hello?

Call handler: You’ve done what, sorry?

Gibson: I have stabbed my girlfriend. (pause) And she’s dead.

Call handler: Can I take your name?

Gibson: Graham.

Call handler: And your surname please Graham.

Gibson: No, I don’t want to give that. I’m just saying go to 17 Cherwell Terrace. She’s on the kitchen floor. I’m going to the bobby shop myself to hand myself in.

Call handler: Do you want to give me your surname please Graham?

Gibson: Pardon?

Call handler: Can I have your surname?

Gibson: No.
