Three hurt in car crash

EMERGENCY services were called after a car hit a parked vehicle and a wall.

The incident happened in Seaview Terrace, on the Headland, Hartlepool, just before midnight on Saturday.

Fire officers from Stranton and Headland fire stations and paramedics raced to the scene.

The incident involved a red Suzuki Swift and a silver Saab convertible.

A male driver was partially trapped and had to be cut out by fire officers.

The man was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton with head injuries.

A woman was taken to hospital with leg and abdominal injuries and another was treated for bruising to the chest.

A spokesman for the North East Ambulance Service said: “Two ambulances and two rapid response paramedics were sent to the scene.”
