POOLS fans snapping up season tickets were delighted to see one of the club’s star players giving box office staff a breather.
Well over 1,000 season tickets have been sold since the club announced a deal promising the price would be just £100 if 4,000 fans took up the offer by July 15.
And goalkeeper Scott Flinders was only too happy to help out when he called into Victoria Park to see how ticket sales were going.
Scott, who is looking forward to the new campaign having signed a new deal last week, said: “It’s a brilliant idea from the club and so far it’s proving a big hit by the sound of things. To have sold well over 1,000 already is fantastic and if everyone gets behind this then we will surely race towards the target of 4,000.
“It would mean a lot to the players to have more supporters behind us on a matchday at The Vic so I would encourage as many people as possible to get down and get a ticket.
“It was great to meet some of the people who are buying tickets, you can sense there is a real excitement around the Club at the moment.”
