A HALLOWEEN event for youngsters and their families will take place next month.
The popular Spoo-Quay event is being held at Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience, off Marina Way, in Hartlepool, on Thursday, October 30, and Friday October 31.
There will be a whole host of ghostly fun at the annual extravaganza which is enjoyed by hundreds of children, parents and grandparents every year from 5.30pm until 8pm.
Organisers say it will be an event with “plenty of frightening fun and evil entertainment.”
The event has gone from strength to strength over the past few years with organisers having to extend the Halloween-themed do to two days rather than just one. So, people are being urged to book early to avoid disappointment as tickets flew off the shelves in previous years.
Within the grounds of the Historic Quay, there will be age-suitable spooky shows, games, crafts, creepy crawlies, and prizes for costumes.
Tickets cost £4.50 each or £18 for a family pass, which includes two adults and three children – with under twos going free.
Tickets cannot be bought on the door and must be paid for in advance and are available from behind the counter at Hartlepool Art Gallery and Tourist Information Centre, in Church Square, Hartlepool, or by calling staff there on (01429) 890000.
Five days later there is also the Hartlepool Fireworks and Music Spectacular to look forward to, which this year will take place on Guy Fawkes’ Night itself - Wednesday, November 5 – at its usual venue behind Seaton Carew bus station and clock tower.
The event is sponsored by Niramax Total Waste Solutions and the fun starts at 4pm with a children’s funfair, followed by musical entertainment and then the fireworks display at 6.30pm. A pay-for park and ride bus service will operate from the bus stop in front of Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience in Marina Way.
