YOUNG footballing stars of the future taught their dads a lesson by winning a bank holiday head-to-head over the weekend.
The Seaton Carew Tiger Cubs, which runs teams for under-sixes and under-sevens, meet twice a week for training and practice sessions.
On Saturday, around 40 of the club’s young members took their dads along, and a specially-arranged “Dads v Lads” game went ahead at their Seaton Carew Cricket Club training base.
And the young cubs left the older generation trailing in their wake after recording a resounding 6-2 victory.
A club spokeswoman said: “It was a great morning and it was lovely to see the kids getting a win against their dads!
“There are a lot of youngsters getting involved with the club and the coaches do a great job with them.”
The Tiger Cubs meet on Saturday mornings at Seaton Carew Cricket Club, in Elizabeth Way, from 10.30am-12pm, and on Thursdays during the summer between 5.30pm-6.30pm.
