HERE is another chance to see the talented performers who are on stage presenting their latest production all this week.
The curtain came up for the first performance of the Sound of Music at the Town Hall Theatre, in Raby Road, last night.
And the hard-working performers at Hartlepool Stage Society are set for five more performances before the week is out.
Jill Jackson, director and chairperson of Hartlepool Stage Society, said the show is “brilliantly performed by our own local talent”.
She added: “The town rarely gets the opportunity of seeing semi-professional shows such as this, they usually go to Billingham Forum, Sunderland or Darlington.”
Jill also gave credit to the seven “excellent” children who are involved in the production.
After the first show last night, the performers will be back on stage at the theatre tonight at 7pm.
The production will run until Saturday with performances at 7pm every night with a Saturday matinee at 2pm.
Tickets, priced at £10 for adults or £8 for concessions, are available by calling the town hall box office on (01429) 890000.
