POINTS certainly make prizes this weekend as part of our annual Shop for Schools contest.
Regular readers will know that double points are available to customers at Hartlepool’s Middleton Grange Shopping Centre on Sundays during the competition.
This is increased to triple points on Bank Holiday Monday, August 29.
Shopping centre manager Mark Rycraft said: “As our latest table shows, the points totals are really starting to build up.
“We are looking forward to shoppers gaining even more points this weekend to help their favourite schools.”
The idea behind helping your favourite school to books, sports equipment and electrical goods through Shop for Schools is simple.
Just take your receipts from any Middleton Grange shops to the centre’s information desk.
There they will be stamped and returned with points vouchers.
These vouchers can be immediately placed into letter boxes marked with the individual names of the 24 competing primary and special schools.
Every pound spent throughout the centre is worth one point from Mondays-Saturdays.
As our latest points table shows, Springwell has a healthy advantage over Ward Jackson.
But don’t fret if your favourite school doesn’t appear to be troubling the leaders yet.
Points totals are divided by each competitor’s number of pupils so that size does not unfairly count.
So the more points your school earns until the end of September then the better the prizes it can choose from.
Our latest bonus points voucher early next week will also help you in your mission.
