Tonight could see Hartlepool dancing star Ali Rasul take another step towards a win as he performs in the semi-final of Britain's Got Talent.
The 16-year-old from Hartlepool and his partner Grace Durkin will dance before the judges of the ITV show this evening.
It follows on from a weekend of success for the pair after they were among the 40 acts chosen to progress through to the live stages of the show.
A public vote will see the Stockton Riverside College Performing Arts students get through to the next point in the competition, should they win the backing of viewers.
Ali said: "This is such an amazing opportunity.
"We have been working really hard and training every day ready for this performance."
Putting together a brand new contemporary dance, the pair's performance will go under the scrutiny of celebrity judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda
Grace, 17, of Ingleby Barwick, added: "We are so excited, it will be such a different experience doing the live show.
"Everyone will see it there and then.
"We have made our routine really special.
"We couldn't do anymore."
The pair can only hope that the public will show their support and vote for them tonight.
Tees Valley Mayor, Ben Houchen, has also added his support.
He said: “Grace and Ali are a fantastic representation of the young people of the Tees Valley.
"They have already wowed the judges and I know they will give it their all in tonight’s live semi-final.
"I will certainly be voting for them and hope that everyone in the region gets behind them and votes them through to the final.”
The winner of Sunday's grand final will receive a cash prize and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.
Britain's Got Talent is on ITV1 at 7.30pm until 9pm tonight and is followed by a results update from 9.30pm to 10pm.
