PEOPLE are being urged to share their history with primary school children and a group of experts.

The youngsters who attend the research club at St Joseph’s RC Primary School, in Musgrave Street, Hartlepool, are set to spend an afternoon at Hartlepool Art Gallery next month as part of their latest project.

The children will be taking along a whole host of historical items and will present them to historians who will tell the story behind them.

The Time Bandits history group will make the trip from Newcastle to share their knowledge and will also perform a number of drama displays linking in what the children have been studying.

Staff at the school are looking forward to the afternoon at the art gallery, in Hartlepool’s Church Square, and have urged people of the town to go along and take some historical items.

The experts will not be valuing any of the items during the afternoon.

The event takes place on Saturday, November 5, from 1pm-4pm.

For more information contact Debbie Boffy at the school on (01429) 272747.

The school will return from half-term break next Monday, October 31.
