TWO people were taken to hospital after a two-car shunt on a busy junction last night.
Two passengers complained of neck pain after the Vauxhall car they were in was in collision with a Nissan Micra at the junction of Hart Lane and Raby Road, in Hartlepool.
Firefighters helped them out of the silver vehicle following the incident at around 9.30pm.
Both were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton.
The road was briefly closed after the smash.
A spokesman for Stranton Fire Station said: “An ambulance was already on scene as it had been on another job in the area and was passing the incident.
“We assisted the casualties out of the vehicles and they were taken to hospital as a precaution.”
