THREE hours of non-stop Zumba went down a treat last night as dancing residents supported a town charity.
Dozens of people turned out at Hartlepool & District Hospice’s very first Zumbathon and enjoyed three hours of action at Hartlepool Rovers Rugby Club, in West View Road.
Zumba teachers Jean Walsh, Sarah Major and Christine Patton put the group through their paces.

And as well as enjoying the fun and fitness aspect of the Zumba, those taking part also helped to raise much needed funds for the Wells Avenue-based hospice.
Janice Forbes, community fundraiser at the hospice, organised the event and got involved herself last night.
She said: “The response was good and we had a lot of people sign up before last night.
“Even more people came on the night so it was a real success.
“It was the first time we have held a Zumbathon so you never know what to expect but it was a success and hopefully this will now go on to become an annual event.”
Hospice staff will now count the total of how much was raised through last night’s event.
More pictures from the Zumbathon will appear in Saturday’s Mail.
