A MAN suffered bad leg injuries after plunging down a cliff as he walked with friends.
Paramedics were called to the incident in Easington at around 8.45pm on Saturday and alerted Hartlepool RNLI and coastguard staff as they could not easily access the faller on the beach.
The man, who has not been named, was transported by lifeboat to the Hartlepool RNLI station before he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The faller was said to have broken the lower part of a leg in two places.
