DEMOLITION teams were today clearing up the site of the former Hartlepool Snooker Centre after pulling the building down over the weekend.
The club in Green Street was damaged beyond repair after a fire ripped through the building in the eary hours of Sunday, March 9.
More than 20 firefighters from Hartlepool’s two stations, Billingham and Stockton fought the flames.
Firefighters had to put the cause down as “unknown”, as the building was too dangerous to search for clues.
Businesses housed underneath the snooker club were also affected by the incident, including Stag Tyres which was forced to move to new premises nearby.
