MORE details have been announced for Greatham’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
The village will hold two days of community events and people are also being urged to decorate their homes and businesses for the occasion.
On Saturday, June 2, there will be a coronation songs of praise church service and patriotic peel of the church bells.
On the afternoon there will be a picnic on the village green with Royal fancy dress, sports for children and adults, and performances by the Val Armstrong Dance Academy and Rough Diamond.
There will also be a 1950s history marquee and on the night there will be an open air concert featuring Lewis and The Passion Killers.
On Sunday, June 3, there will be another church service with 1950s dress.
On the night, there will be a proms community sing-along led by Greatham Village Players and dancing to the Peppermints and a disco.
The village is also holding a photographic competition called Greatham Celebrates from the celebrations.
The best photos will be included in a book of congratulations to be sent from Greatham to the Queen.
