A FANCY display of vintage and classic cars wowed weekend crowds.

The Northern Bygone’s Society was back in Hartlepool with another sparkling rally on Sunday, April 26.

We had about treble the amount of people come to this event compared to last year.

Dozens of people turned out for the vintage and classic car event which saw enthusiasts meet in the car park at Tesco Extra, in Burn Road, Hartlepool.

Entry to the public was free for the event, which lasted from 10am to 3pm.

The society’s Paul Jackson said: “It went great. It was really busy and we had over 100 exhibitions.

“We had about treble the amount of people come to this event compared to last year.

“I’d like to thank Tesco, and also all of the people who turned up to support us.”

The show was the society’s second of the month, after holding a successful event at the Owton Lodge pub, in Hartlepool, just weeks ago.

There will be another fantastic display in July when the society heads to Rovers Rugby Club, in West View Road, Hartlepool.

For those wanting to get more involved in vintage cars, the society holds regular meetings, gathering on the second Thursday of each month with meetings held from 7.15pm onwards at the Oakleaf Sports Complex, in Newton Aycliffe,

Membership fees are £15 a year, which includes members receiving a monthly newsletter.
