Waiting game over pothole cash decision

RESIDENTS will have to wait and see which streets will benefit from a £240,000 Government cash boost.

Hartlepool Borough Council has been awarded the extra funding to tackle roads across town that are blighted by troublesome potholes after the severe winter.

Labour councillor Robbie Payne, portfolio holder for finance and procurement, discussed the cash at a council meeting to decide how the money should be spent.

But Coun Payne called for further information on the individual schemes. A report will go back to a future meeting.
