HARTLEPOOL United defender Scott Harrison didn’t waste the chance to use vanishing spray on a stricken match official.

Referee Patrick Miller fell to the floor after twisting his knee on the turf at the Kassam Stadium midway through the second-half of Pools’ victory over Oxford United.

And as the players gathered around him - Harrison saw his opportunity.

Pools defender Neil Austin picked the spray up after it had fallen from the referee as he took a tumble and handed it to Harrison.

He then drew a line around the ref in the same fashion officials do at free-kicks - much to the amusement of his teammates.

Miller was later stretchered off the field and had to be replaced.

* POOLS have slashed ticket prices for Saturday’s clash with Mansfield Town at Victoria Park as club bosses look for a bumper crowd in the relegation battle.

Prices are as follows, seating: Adults £12, concessions £6, Standing: adults £10, concessions £5.

Tickets are on sale from the Victoria Park ticket office and on the turnstiles prior to kick-off.
