ENVIRONMENTAL experts will be on hand this weekend to give advice on how to make a willow creation.
A Wild Willow Workshop is to be held in the Burn Valley Gardens, in Hartlepool, on Saturday, from 10am-12.30pm.
Using locally sourced willow, people will be shown how to make willow creations such as giant flower sculptures or plant supports that they will be able to take home.
The meeting point for the event will be at the entrance to the Burn Valley Family Wood, at the top of Elwick Road.
The three-year project aims to involve local people in a range of works to improve and develop the town’s parks and Local Nature Reserves to create wildlife havens.
The event is aimed at people aged 12 and over and places must be booked in advance by calling (01429) 853325.
