Hundreds of women are set to take to the streets for one of Hartlepool’s flagship fundraising events.

Women are being invited to take to the streets on Saturday, September 5, for the popular Hartlepool & District Hospice’s Moonlight Walk which has a theme this year of Dance Through The Decades.

It is vitally important that businesses are part of the local community, especially for such a worthwhile cause

Participants are invited to get into the groove by dressing in disco fancy dress.

The five-mile sponsored walk starts from Hartlepool College of Further Education at 10pm and follows a circular route along the sea front to Seaton Carew Golf Club and back. Bristol Street Motors Ford, in Brenda Road, has been named as sponsor for the annual event.

Hospice fundraiser Greg Hildreth said: “Increasing the profile of the event by having a well-known company as a sponsor helps our walkers raise more money for the charity.

“This enables the hospice to continue to provide its specialist services free of charge to the local communities of Hartlepool and East Durham. On behalf of everyone here at the hospice, I would like to thank Bristol Street for such wonderful support.”

Neil Bianchi, general manager of Bristol Street Motors Hartlepool Ford said: “The level of care that the Hospice provides is amazing and Bristol Street Motors is extremely pleased to be able sponsor the Moonlight Walk.

“I think it is vitally important that businesses are part of the local community, especially for such a worthwhile cause.”
