THESE scary souls got into the Halloween spirit during a series of fiendishly fun events.

Here is a last chance to see more pictures from the scary celebrations from across Hartlepool and east Durham.

Garish ghouls and striking spectres descended on various locations and community venues to take part in some perilously popular events.

These included The Golden Lion pub, in Dunston Road, Hartlepool, Seascape Children’s Centre, in Ellison Road, Peterlee and Trimdon Station Community Centre, in Station Road East where a host of traditional fun was had by all.

Little Archie Burton donned a skeleton outfit to join in the scary shenanigans at The Golden Lion on Sunday.

Children at the Seascape facility enjoyed gruesome jelly-making, witches brew, apple-bobbing, a pumpkin parade and arts and crafts.

Around 100 children attended the Trimdon-based event, which included an under-11s disco and a fancy dress competition.
